RapidMiner Certification Exam: Master Level

Enterprises today depend on advanced analytics to give them a competitive advantage. The development and implementation of predictive models is quickly becoming a distinguishing characteristic of today's most successful companies. This exam challenges candidates to apply specific knowledge they have acquired through RapidMiner training and practical work experience. Exams consist of 50 questions which must be completed in 90 minutes.

This exam is offered here on an ‘on-demand’ basis that you can take wherever you are whenever you want using our remote proctoring solution. Candidates also have the option of taking the exam at our facility in Dortmund, Germany by registering here.

Please note that you are only allowed to take part in the exam for becoming a certified RapidMiner Master after you have successfully taken part in the RapidMiner Expert exam.

RapidMiner Master Certification Level

The RapidMiner Master certification level is designed for individuals who wish to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how RapidMiner’s software products are used in all possible
real-world data analysis situations.

Besides showing the capabilities of handling more advanced topics like time series analysis and forecasting, a certified RapidMiner Master also provides deep knowledge and experience in different application areas.

A candidate for this exam should have the ability to

Perform time series analysis and forecasting
Develop scripts
Perform additional analysis types
Create models for different application fields
Create predictive reports
Integrate reports, models, and results in portals

During this performance-based examination, candidates will use RapidMiner Studio to perform the examination tasks. It is essential that the candidate has a firm understanding and mastery of the functionalities for advanced predictive modeling with RapidMiner Studio 6.

Candidates who earn this credential will have earned a passing score on the RapidMiner Master exam consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions and must achieve a score of 60% correct to pass. Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the exam.

Preparation for the Exam

While not necessary, we recommend that students attend the following RapidMiner courses offered by professional RapidMiner instructors to prepare for this exam:

Participating in the Exam

Using our remote proctoring solution, students are now able to take their exams wherever and whenever they want. To take the exam remotely, register here and you will receive your login credentials and instructions within two business days. Once you receive your credentials, you will have 30 days to take the exam.

What to bring: Certification candidates are required to provide a form of photo identification such as a driver's license or a valid passport. The form must display the candidate's signature.

Testing area: While your exam taking will be recorded and reviewed, we rely on the honor system with our students. It is recommended that you take the exam in a quiet area with minimal distraction – your local coffee shop is not the best place to take the exam. The area must be clear of notes, books, reference materials, secondary computers, and the like. You should be connected to a high-speed, broadband connection for the 90-minute duration of the exam so be sure to test your Internet access prior to starting the exam.

Personal items: The only item allowed in the testing area is your identification. Please leave any backpacks, laptops, briefcases and other personal items at away from the testing area. No cameras, cell phones, audio players, or other electronic devices are allowed during exam sessions.

Score Report

You will receive the provisional exam score immediately after completion of your exam. The score report will display the percentage of items that you answered correctly. Your final grade will be emailed once your exam has been reviewed by our proctors.

Welcome E-mail and Certificate

If you have passed your exam and met all requirements for the credential, you will receive an e-mail containing a link to your logo access and additional welcome information. Furthermore, it will include a PDF copy of your certificate which you can print at any time. This e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provided at exam registration. Please allow at least two weeks from your exam date to receive this e-mail.

Catalog Listing

Upon receipt of your credentials from RapidMiner, your name will be added to the RapidMiner Certified Professional Catalog. This process can take up to one week after your certificate is awarded. If you do not wish for your name to appear in the RapidMiner Certified Professional Catalog, you may choose to be excluded at the time of exam registration.

Will my Credentials Expire?

The RapidMiner Certification Program issues versioned credentials that do not expire. For example, if you earn the RapidMiner Master for RapidMiner Studio 6 credential, you will retain this credential and it will never expire but you will have to renew it for future versions if desired.
